An MBA, Entrepreneur and Technology Business Development Leader with over 20 years direct experience with key economic development organizations, and engineering/business schools at NM universities.   Background includes extensive technology transfer and commercialization experiences working with NM manufacturers, national labs, and regional organizations.  Expertise is developing business strategy, instigating tech transfer partnerships, securing business development resources and start-up funding, leading entrepreneurial advisory programs and mentoring high tech and manufacturing entrepreneurs.
 
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES AND HIGHLIGHTS
 
ProactiveTeams – Principal, Business Innovation Consultant, Albuquerque, NM, January 2000 – Present
· Contracted with MEP and its predecessor, INC, to generate new clients and provide tech transfer related consulting to client companies.
· Recruited new clients to the national laboratories’ Small Business Assistance Program.
· Targeted fundraising strategies and initiatives in the venture capital, academic, and nonprofit sectors have resulted in $30 million-plus in total new funds for these causes.
· Worked with local Next Generation Economy team, along with the Council on Competitiveness, on next generation manufacturing and technology cluster development strategies and programming in the region.
· Served as a consultant on a regional rural wireless broadband partnership between a county government, private contractor, the University of New Mexico, and National Lambda Rail.
